As a child… How would you picture yourself at 30?
When I was young, I wanted to be many things (in chronological order): a school teacher, a journalist, an architect and a hotel manager. At 18, just after graduating, I decided that I would work in Marketing for a famous comestic brand which led me to enter a business school. But it didn’t happened! Over the past 5 years, I’ve been working as a a consultant in organization and management (I help other firms to implement projects). I finished school and started immediately working without asking myself any questions.

Even if I grew up in the countryside until I was 18 years old (before starting higher education). I have always imagined myself living in a big city with my husband and 2 kids. Indeed, as a young teenager, i was very attracted by capital cities such as Paris, London or Los Angeles.
30 years old, a turning point?
Did you notice some changes since you are 30 YO? I think that 30 is the “age of reason: the moment when you trade childhood for wisdom”. You know how to reflect upon events of your life, you know yourself better, you are sensible to what you love and like and you know how to surround yourself with the right and important people. I would say that you learn how to enjoy

simple pleasures in life (and stop having too high expectations). As a consequence, my priorities have changed: work and money is less important than before, whereas quality of life and family is turning more important. I feel like I just begin to understand what happiness is – and try to appreciate it and get the full benefit of it.
Do you feel old or still young? Being 30 is still pretty young in my country: people usually live until 80 or 90. In France, people tend to be financially independant and leave their parent’s home older (around 23 to 25) than they used to, starting their aldult life quite old. Anyway, the most important thing is that I am young at heart.
What are the things you would like to change? If I could “delete” some elements in my life, it would be the « wait-and-see » behavior that I may have had and all the fears that prevented me from acting.
My Values

My Typical day

And tomorrow?
What is the story you want to tell 10 years from now? It may be weird but I do not succeed in projecting me in the future. I do not want to tell myself that “the future is made of” or “the future is already written”, I just want to discover it step by step. Nevertheless, I have a few basics on my mind… I picture myself with a family (husband, 2 kids), a house and an English garden but I cannot tell you either where I want to live or the kind of job I will be doing.
I do not want to tell myself that “the future is made of” or “the future is already written”.
How do you imagine the world you will be living in 10 years? If feel that our future world is not promising, at least not in the European Union: unemployment, insecurity, taxes increase, and immense cost savings. After the amazing growth that our parents’ generation witnessed, we will have to face the slowly decline of our old country. That being said, I think I belong to the inner circle (i.e. regarding my job and personal situation) so should not do have anything to moan about. Anyway, if the situation in my country goes wrong, I won’t be afraid to move somewhere else in the globe where things would be better.
